The Los Angeles Cotillion possesses one of the most storied traditions of cotillion in southern California. For almost one hundred years, the Ebell of Los Angeles has played gracious host to children in the Hancock Park district of Los Angeles. Current Cotillion members include third or even fourth generation participants, all experiencing the wonders of Cotillion on the beautiful hardwood floor of the main dining room. Membership is by invitation only for students in fifth through eighth grade and limited to space available.

The Cotillion season comprises six dancing parties emphasizing manners, social graces, and basic social dance skills. Refreshments, games, and various instruction and activities are enjoyed. During the annual Holiday Party, parents are invited to attend and participate with their children.
